Officially inaugurated on 25 August, the new laboratory strengthens Nuvisan´s ability to support research for global pharmaceutical clients across the drug discovery and development value chain. By connecting capabilities across India and Europe, Nuvisan can provide clients greater flexibility and capacity, coordinated project delivery and consistent scientific, EHS and operational standards.

Rickard Olofsson, Executive General Manager Pharmaceutical, said the investment strengthens Nuvisan´s and ALS´ ability to support global pharmaceutical clients through a more streamlined operating model.

“Our team in Hyderabad adds scalable chemistry resources, while Nuvisan provides the scientific expertise, quality oversight and client engagement that are central to the offering.”

“Together, we can provide high-quality, flexible support across geographies without adding complexity for our clients,” Rickard said.

“By offering a single, coordinated approach across Europe and India, the hybrid operating model enhances the way we deliver drug design projects to our clients,” Norbert Schmees, Director, Life Science Chemistry 2, Nuvisan Centre of Excellence – Discovery in Berlin, added.

The investment comes as global pharmaceutical companies continue to expand their capability centres in India. As Hyderabad is one of the country’s leading pharmaceutical and technology hubs, the collaboration with ALS’ team at the new laboratory in India places Nuvisan closer to its clients and a growing ecosystem of pharmaceutical research and development.
