Nuvisan receives US$25 million grant to advance novel non-hormonal contraceptive drug discovery

Nuvisan is pleased to announce it has received a US$25 million grant from the Gates Foundation to advance a portfolio of novel non-hormonal contraceptive drug discovery projects.  

The new three-year grant builds on a successful program, delivered over the past three years. It is intended to further expand the pipeline of non-hormonal contraceptive candidates, an area of significant unmet need in global health. 

The program will support the advancement of one lead project toward preclinical candidate nomination, the progression of additional hit-to-lead and earlier-stage projects, and the establishment of an advanced, in vitro assay platform to accelerate preclinical drug discovery in the field.
