Bottle filling

Nuvisan offers bottle filling services for a variety of liquid formulations, including oral solutions, suspensions and other therapeutic products. Our facilities are equipped to handle small and larger-scale production, helping ensure high-quality and precise filling for clinical trials.

Blister packaging

Nuvisan also offers blister packaging tailored to your products and clinical design, producing mono-blisters or mixed blisters. Available materials are: 

• Thermoforming: PVC/Alu, PVC/PVDC/Alu 
• Triplex, Aclar 
• Cold forming: Alu/Alu.

In case of temperature sensitive products, we perform secondary packaging and labelling in one of our walk-in refrigerators or walk-in freezers. For temperature sensitive products, labelling can be done at 2-8°C, -20°C, and below -60°C (on dry ice), in a temperature-controlled GMP environment.

Blinding

Nuvisan’s experts provide reliable solutions for blinding your investigational medicinal products, including: 

• Different types of solid dosage forms, from single tablets to multiple mixed components, by over-encapsulation 
• Pre-filled syringes 
• Blinding inhalers 
• Tubes.

Nuvisan offers randomisation services by internal biometricians. Based on the protocol, a randomisation list is created by using qualified and validated software.

The printing of emergency/code break envelopes is also performed by our clinical trial supply unit. 

IMP labelling and patient kits assembly

For the labelling of investigational medicinal products, we offer a portfolio of various label formats (e.g. single labels, flag labels, wrap-around labels and booklet labels), which are selected based on the individual needs of the study. Graphics, fonts and colours can be applied to your labels according to your study-specific needs.

Patient blister-card production

Nuvisan specialises in patient blister-card production to meet the specific needs of clinical trials. These blister cards are designed to provide accurate, convenient and secure packaging for oral dosage forms such as tablets and capsules.  

Nuvisan’s services include customisable blister configurations to suit a trial’s requirements, ensuring precise dosing and facilitating patient compliance. The blister cards can be tailored for blinding in clinical studies, helping ensure the indistinguishability of active treatments and placebos.

Ancillary supply kits assembly

Nuvisan offers comprehensive ancillary supply kit assembly services to support clinical trials, helping ensure the efficient and accurate distribution of necessary supplies alongside investigational medicinal products (IMPs). These kits are carefully assembled to include all required materials, such as syringes, needles, alcohol swabs, collection tubes and any other supplies specific to the trial protocol.
